Heat in Summer

To ensure that your AUSTROCARD fuel and charging card does not suffer any damage in summer, there are a few important points to bear in mind. Heat can damage electronic components or the material of the card.

Here are a few tips for proper storage:

• Do not expose to direct sunlight: Avoid placing the AUSTROCARD on the dashboard. It is best to use closed compartments such as the glove compartment.
• Protect from excessive heat: Temperatures in cars can quickly reach 60°C or more in summer. This is not ideal for fuel cards. It is best to use a heat-insulating sleeve or a suitable card case and store the card in your pocket.
• Do not store in your wallet: We advise against storing the card in your wallet, as the AUSTROCARD can be damaged by frequent bending or when removing other cards.
